Next (to the right), Michael Anthony takes lead vocals on "Somebody Get Me A Doctor" in a high quality recording accompanied by pictures. This audio recording took place during the 1998-1999 Van Halen III tour. (with Gary Cherone as the lead singer) Van Halen played "Somebody Get Me A Doctor" with Michael Anthony doing lead vocals at least once, the version heard here; Gary Cherone was one of the background vocalists for this take. Pictures show a sundown in tribute to the departure of Mike and Michael Anthony shots with Van Halen, alone, shots of Van Halen today, in overdrive, with Wolfy adding a new flavor. Although fans love seeing Dave back it would be nice to hear Michael Anthony's vocals. They are missed. In this rare version you get the treat of enjoying Michael Anthony the whole song, as who he should have been occasionally: the lead singer for Van Halen. Hearing this version with Mike singing makes you wonder why Van Halen never did have Mike singing lead vocal on any studio tracks...ever. This version is a testament to the fact....proof positive, that he definitely could have been a lead singer for Van Halen. (Video To The Right)

Van Halen, Sept. 27,2007

To see the emotion they felt in this video, near the end of the second song, "I'm The One" and the deserved ovation for a tremendous performance under high mental pressure makes this my favorite video.
